Cambridge-based Cellarity Startup Just Raised $123 Million To Develop A New Way To Find Medicine Cellarity aims to develop a new approach to fight disease. Rather than look for single drug targets, it aims to use its platform to look at how whole cells are impacted when someone is sick. By understanding these effects, the company aims to develop treatments that can impact diseases in a more comprehensive way. Cellarity was founded by venture firm Flagship Pioneering in 2017, and over the course of the past several years has developed seven different therapeutic programs, aimed at a range of disease conditions including metabolic diseases and cancer. Chouraqui, who formerly served as President of Novartis Pharmaceuticals U.S. and as a vice president of Bristol-Myers Squibb, joined the company in May 2020.
Airbnb posts a $3.9B loss in Q4 in the first quarterly report since IPO, with revenues of $859M, down 22% YoY, blames much of the loss on charges related to the IPO — Airbnb reported a loss of $3.89 billion in its first earnings report since its IPO late last year. — However, the company beat expectations for revenue.
Salesforce reports Q4 revenue of $5.82B, beating estimates of $5.68B, subscription and support revenues of $5.48B, up 20% YoY, and 14K net new paid customers — In spite of the solid performance for the quarter, Salesforce shares were down slightly in after-hours trading.
DoorDash reports Q4 revenue of $970M, up 226% YoY, in its debut earnings report, with a loss of $312M, up from $134M YoY; stock down 11%+ after-hours — DoorDash reported its Q4 2020 earnings after the bell on Thursday that beat analyst revenue estimates but included a large net loss in its first release as a public company.
Autodesk says it will acquire Innovyze, which makes a SaaS product for the design, construction, operation, and maintenance of water infrastructure, for $1B — The acquisition is the largest in Autodesk’s history and is meant to position Autodesk as a provider of end-to-end software for the operations of water infrastructure.
